Biography
Born in Chicago in 1949, where he continues to live, just as he continues to work as a lawyer also with important appointments within the American public administration. Having become famous with Presumed Innocent, also made into a film starring Harrison Ford, Scott Turow has continued to tell us enthralling stories inspired by judicial cases and legal battles. Almost all his novels are in fact set in the legal world, the places in which his characters move are courtrooms, legal offices and the public administration offices in big North American cities, in particular Chicago. It is no coincidence that he has been described as the inventor of legal thrillers. Scott Turow has won numerous literary awards, among them the Heartland Prize in 2003 for Reversible Errors and the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award in 2004 for Ultimate Punishment. His books have been translated into over 25 languages and he has sold more than 25 million copies all over the world.
